Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students in a separate K 2 classroom setting in Wilson, NC. The classroom serves approximately 14 students and is supported by 2 Teacher Assistants (TAs) .

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students in a separate classroom setting.
• Work with students who are non-verbal and/or on the autism spectrum .
• Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with student IEPs.
• Participate in staff meetings and required school activities.
• Attend additional IEP meetings as needed; overtime may be approved for eligible extra meetings.
• Assist students with personal care needs, including bathroom assistance and changing , when required.
• Collaborate with Teacher Assistants and school staff to support student learning and development.

• EC (Exceptional Children) Licensure MUST BE IN HAND.
• Previous experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
• Experience supporting students with autism and/or non-verbal students is a plus.
• Must successfully complete the Wilson County Schools background check and meet all district requirements.

• Daily Schedule: 7:20 AM 3:30 PM
• Total Hours: Approximately 40 hours/week
• Billable Hours: 37 hours/week
• Lunch: Unpaid
• OT: May be approved for additional IEP meetings, as applicable.
